Immaculate Conception Parish Church - Parochial Office

Yes, magni-ninang ulit ako!haha.
But this time mejo nakaka-excite cuz i'll be the godmother to twins!

My colleague from Batangas would like to baptist his twins at Darasa, Tanauan Batangas. My friend requires me to provide him with my confirmation and baptismal certificates. I said - talaga? pati cerificate ng kumpil?

Well, kanya-kanyang requirements lang siguro yan.. so Saturday morning, i went to Parochial office of Immaculate Conception Parish Church in Santa Cruz, Laguna. Hmm..alot have changed since my last visit.

Ate Adora (nakiki-ate?), assisted me in securing the certificates I needed. Nakakatuwa lang kasi she would asked the names of my ninong and ninang nung baptism ko. Gladly, makulit akong bata sa nanay ko noon kaya natatandaan ko pa yung mga names nila. Ang masama - yung ninang ko sa kumpil ang di ko matandaan! haha! i was 12 years old then when i took my confirmation at Immaculate Conception.

It took me 30 minutes for both documents..so mumi-muni muna ako on the side.. which brings me back to my geek-y high school days, almost 17 years ago here at DBHS. We'll that's a different story to tell! haha

Each certificates costs P100.

My First HUMAN NATURE Items

My first purchase from Human Nature has arrived! I thought I’d impatiently wait for the delivery of my items but it took them just 2 days to deliver my goodies – as promised! I’m impressed!

I’ve been looking for a Human Nature dealer near our place unfortunately nada - so I decided to purchase online.

My first item with HN is their citronella bug spray which I bought 2 years ago for my kiddos. My interest with Human Nature perked up when I started looking for a mineral blush. And when I saw their online magalogue and read their advocacies and helpful tips, I made a decision to give it a try.

Here are my purchases:

Basically, i wanna try their mineral cosmetics.
I've been using liquid foundation since then but i've learned that mineral foundation has natural ingredients thus allowing skin to breath.

Mineral Foundation

syempre, i bought na rin their mineral blush! haha

Mineral Blush: 2 for P295 in rosy cheeks and tropical rose

Mineral Blush

as for my kiddo, i bought bottles of bug shield, sanitizers and lip balm. yes! i made my boys try HN's peppermint balm!

I think Bug Shield has improved their packaging coz tthe old mosquito repellant oil spray has an overpowering scent of citronella.

bug shield mosquito repellant and spray sanitizer and lip balm

I was so amazed witheir packaging. Their logo and designs are so cute. Me and my Lemon love the cruelty free bunny logo.

Soon i'll post my reviews for newly bought HN items!

Excited mush to try!

What I believe In: Be Natural

In line with my resolution to take care of myself more, I decided that will use natural products as much as possible. By doing so, I might not feel so self-y with my pampering but also help in preserving our environment as well as protecting my love ones. That's hitting 3 birds in 1 stone! haha!

So little by little I’m altering my brands and be keen in reading back labels.

I won’t list the things that I must do and what not. But I will really try to live up with what I believe in…

It maybe the age  that I decided to take it a notch higher!  :)

TLC for your morena skin

Bianca Gonzalez, Suzi Abrera, and Rissa Mananquil-Trillo

Show off your beautiful brown skin with these top eight skincare and beauty tips from morena beauties, Rissa Mananquil-Trillo, Bianca Gonzalez, and Suzi Abrera.

Moisturize

No matter your skin color, it’s at its most beautiful when it’s well cared for—just ask model and host Rissa Mananquil-Trillo. To care for her skin, she shares: “I religiously moisturize all areas of my body every single day. That’s the best way to get that lit-from-within glow on beautiful brown skin!”

Shine right

Morena beauty and Close Up White Now endorser Bianca Gonzalez also reaches for a moisturizer, but if she wants something a little glam while highlighting her tanned complexion, “you can definitely use like a lotion with a little bit of shimmer.” But she stresses that you should apply it only where the light hits: the collarbone, your shoulders, or one line across your arms. (“If you put it all around [your arms], nakakalaki yun ng [braso]!” adds Bianca.)

A little scrub helps

Besides reaching for your trusty lotion, you can start the moisturizing while in the shower, use a beauty bar with a moisturizing cream or as Bianca does it, a moisturizing body wash with her exfoliating loofah bath glove. Just make sure to exfoliate gently.

Ditching discoloration or dark scars

While Rissa is “more than happy to be brown,” morena skin easily discolors when irritated. “Simple mosquito bites end up looking like scars of dark dots on my skin—yes, even if I don’t scratch or touch them!” She admits that she too sometimes need help from lightening products. “To lighten them, I use Pond’s Flawless White. It's really meant for the face, but it has amazingly worked wonders to make stubborn discolorations quickly disappear!”

Hit the beach

For Bianca, the toughest thing about having morena skin is “keeping the color pantay.”

“That’s my problem, if I don’t take care of it, I honestly have dark knees, dark siko... I like going to the beach more than anything, it’s also to make pantay my color.”

Don’t forget your sunscreen

Whether or not you’re hitting the beach like Bianca, make sure to apply sunscreen or use beauty products with SPF.

While morena beauties have more melanin compared to their fair sisters (hence, more natural protection against harmful UV rays) you’re still not completely protected. “Even if we’re lucky to have skin that doesn’t burn easily, always wear sun block,” says TV host Suzi Abrera. “Doing Gameplan for years without sunblock has aged my skin indeed!” If sunblock is too rich to use on a daily basis, use skincare or beauty products with SPF 15 at least.

Choose makeup wisely

Do you have acidic skin? One way to know is if the makeup you apply on your skin darkens over time. Suzi, who admits she has acidic skin, suggests you go to your favorite makeup counters and get a consultation. “They will of course suggest many products, but just buy what you will use often: concealer, powder, blush, liquid makeup. Make sure to determine also if you are acidic or not because you will have to get a different shade of base if you are,” says the Mars talk show host.

Show off your color

With all the TLC you’re giving your morena skin, don’t forget to flaunt your beautiful dusky color with a few fashion do’s. For Rissa, the best way to show your morena color is to put on beautiful gold jewelry or pearls to adorn you.

“Their warm hues wonderfully celebrate Filipina skin!” What to pick in your closet? Wear clothing with sharp and crisp colors like white and red, which will highlight your skin tone, and stay away from muted earth tones.

Finally, whatever your skin tone is, whether your morena or fair-skinned, take care of your skin and keep in mind what Suzi says: “Be happy! Wrinkles and laugh lines don't seem to matter too much when a person is enjoying life to the fullest.”

Tula: Mga Anyong Tubig sa Pilipinas

I have made an impromptu poem because my little Lemon needs a  tagalog poem on the different bodies of water in the Philippines. I humbly share my poem to all mommies - i know how it feels! LOL

Ang Inang Pilipinas ay pinagpalang totoo

Sapagkat naliligid ng Karagatang Pasipiko

Dagat Tsina, Celebes, Sulu at Mindanao
